The Echo is a weekly paper therefore most of the
time the sporting events that are covered and written about are published a few days after the game. Because of this it is
best not to put the score of the game in the lead as it should already be known to the readership. Find unique ways to write
the lead.
Example: Bears fans throughout the stands gnawed the tips off of their fingernails
late in the game Saturday night as junior cornerback Anthony Gambles saved the game with a high-flying interception.
